The geological phenomenon that rock and earth mass from steep slopes, under the effect of gravity, suddenly breaks away from the mountain, and collapses and rolls, and finally accumulates at the slope toe (or valley) is called collapse (also called inbreak or overbreak).

Collapse can be summarized by four words: crack, steep, hollow and fall.
