To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Global Geoparks Network, to give full play to the positive role of Gloabl Geoparks in the protection of geological heritage resources, scientific research and popular science, the development of geological tourism resources and the promotion of sustainable local economic development, and to guide the majority of young people to love natural science and establish environmental protection awareness. On April 3, 2024, the Zhijindong Cave  Geopark held a science popularization and study tour activity with the theme of "Exploring the Mysteries of the Earth and Appreciating the Beauty of Geology - A Series of Science Popularization Activities to Celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the UNESCO World Geoparks Network".

1,500 teachers and students entered the Zhijindong Cave Global Geopark. They were all filled with curiosity and amazement at the variingly shaped stalactites and the uniquely shaped cave landscapes inside the cave, marveling at the wonders of nature and experiencing the charm of the "First Cave Heaven".

In recent years, Zhijindong Cave Gloabl Geopark has made full use of the geological relics, natural landscapes and humanistic ecology of Zhijindong Cave to create "immersive" study Tours. It has been awarded the title of "Zhijindong Cave Primary and Secondary School Study Tour Practice Education Base" by the Education Bureau of Bijie City and the Culture, Radio, Film and Tourism Bureau of Bijie City.

This year, Zhijindong Cave Global Geopark will also actively carry out a series of science popularization activities such as bringing science popularization into schools and communities around the theme of celebrating the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the UNESCO Global Geoparks Network.
