On August 23rd, the large-scale ethnic song and dance drama "Lady Shexiang", meticulously crafted by Bijie City, was successfully staged at the Zhijindong Cave Global Geopark! This highly anticipated art feast, with the karst wonders of hundreds of millions of years as its natural stage, perfectly blends the historical legend of Lady Shexiang, a female politician of the Yi ethnic group in the Ming Dynasty, who opened up the post road and promoted ethnic unity with the magnificent and beautiful natural scenery of Zhijindong Cave, bringing the audience a soul-stirring audio-visual enjoyment.
At the performance site, the actors, dressed in exquisite Yi ethnic costumes, against the backdrop of the magnificent natural landscape outside the Zhijindng Cave, passionately performed the great deeds of Lady Shexiang with melodious songs and touching dance moves. Applause never ceased on the spot. Many audience members couldn't help humming along to the melody softly. The atmosphere was extremely lively.
Zhijindong Cave has a deep historical connection with Lady Shexiang - it is not only known as the "King of Chinese Caves" and a Global Geopark, but also the land that Lady Shexiang once governed. The 150-meter-high cave hall can be regarded as a sacred place in the Earth's core, and the 17-meter-tall Silver rain tree records the geological evolution of the Earth over hundreds of millions of years. The wonders such as the Overlord Helmet and Lingzhi Mountain seem like masterpieces of nature, the stalagmites standing in rows are like thousand-year-old guards, and the gurgling of the underground river is just like the harmony of heaven...
