On April 28, the launch ceremony of the cultural brand "Reading Bijie" and an elite dialogue event were held in Huawu Village, Xinren Miao Township, Qianxi City. Hosted by Su Dongfang, presenter of Guizhou Radio and Television Station, the event themed Huawu’s Transformation: Unlocking the Secrets of Rural Revitalization, aimed to further integrate national reading initiatives with rural revitalization and cultural-tourism integration.
Ouyang Qiansen, Chairman of Guizhou Federation of Literary and Art Circles and Guizhou Writers Association, unveiled a calligraphy scroll at the scene and officially launched the cultural brand "Reading Bijie". This marks that Bijie’s national reading program has entered a new stage of branding and scenario-based development.
During the event, Ouyang Qiansen held an in-depth roundtable discussion with distinguished writers, cultural scholars, and Yang Wenli—the prototype character of the work Deep in the Wumeng Mountains. The participants exchanged views on the cultural connotations of Deep in the Wumeng Mountains, the innovative inheritance of ethnic culture, the practice of "walking plus reading" for nationwide reading, and how literary and artistic creation responds to the themes of the times.
Jointly sponsored by the Publicity Department of Bijie Municipal Party Committee and Guizhou Radio and Television Station, the event was undertaken by Bijie Convergence Media Center, Bijie Bureau of Culture, Radio, Film, Television and Tourism, the Publicity Department of Qianxi Municipal Party Committee and other institutions. A full-media communication campaign was launched simultaneously. Through micro-documentaries, short video series and reports by mainstream media, the event fully showcased the charm of the "Reading Bijie" brand and the achievements of rural revitalization in Huawu Village. It enables more people to explore the Wumeng Mountains through reading on the go and witness the development of Bijie.
