Plateau
Plateaus are large, relatively complete raised areas often with an elevation of more than 1000m, large area and open terrain; the edges are marked with obvious slopes.
The major difference between plateau and plain is higher elevation, and the difference between plateau and mountain is its large, complete raised area. Plateau has long been known “the stage of earth” and is formed due to long-term, large-area crust uplift.
