On June 17th, the first theme post office in Bijie City, Guizhou Province was inaugurated in Zhijindong Cave Global Geopark. The Zhijindong Cave Theme Post Office, which took half a year to meticulously plan and invested nearly one million yuan, was upgraded and renovated to improve its service window functions. After going through the pre-opening rehearsal, equipment debugging and other procedures, it was successfully inaugurated.

Since its successful inclusion in the UNESCO Global Geoparks Network in 2015, Zhijindong Cave has been committed to implementing the development concept of a global geopark and has achieved remarkable results in protecting geological relics, promoting sustainable regional economic development, disseminating geological knowledge to the public, and environmental protection. 

The post office has the largest number of sales outlets and channels in the country. Its lowest-level outlets can even be located in villages and towns, which is a major advantage of the post office. In addition to providing comprehensive traditional postal services, the post office will also open up a logistics channel for local agricultural and characteristic tourism handicrafts to reach the mountains through the "national team logistics" channel. This will further broaden the channels for the park to assist local residents, enhance the effectiveness of assistance, intensify tourism poverty alleviation efforts, contribute to the development and revitalization of rural areas, and promote the sustainable development of the local economy.

Zhijidongn Cave Global Geopark has collaborated with the Bijie Post Bureau to establish a Zhijindong Cave-themed post office, which is an exploration in the development of the cultural industry. In the future, we will develop more tourism and cultural and creative products around the theme post office, integrating the karst landform of Zhijindong Cave, the ethnic minority cultures within the park, the postal relay and letter culture of the post office into the construction and product research and development of the theme post office. Provide tourists with tourism products that reflect local characteristics and open an additional window to understand the culture of Zhijindong Cave Gloabl Geopark.
