To effectively rectify the feedback from the 2023 UNESCO Expert Group's re-evaluation and re-apply for the expansion of the park, continuously enhance exchanges and cooperation with domestic and international geoparks, learn from their advanced management experiences, and promote mutual development, on April 17th, A four-person delegation from the Zhijindong Cave Global Geopark went to the Yanqing Global Geopark in Beijing for an inspection and study.
The inspection team successively visited the geological museum, Ancient Cliff Dwellings, Wild Duck Lake and Badaling Great Wall Park and other geological relic landscapes in Yanqing Global Geopark, and learned about the overall construction of the park's guide signs, the research and development of cultural and creative products, and the protection of biodiversity and other work. The two sides also had in-depth discussions and exchanges on aspects such as the assessment of park expansion, archive management, protection of geological relics, science popularization exhibitions, and cooperation with sister parks, aiming to achieve mutual communication and resource sharing, and jointly promote the scientific management and sustainable development of the Global Geopark.
