From April 7th to 10th, 2025, the 56th World Earth Day "Sister-Park Linkage" event and the 6th Asia-Pacific Geopark Week, themed "Inheritance, Innovation, Symbiosis - Jointly Building a Sustainable Future for Gloabl Geoparks", was held at the Yimeng Mountain Gloabl Geopark. As the sister park of Yimeng Mountain Gobal Geopark, Zhijindong Cave Global Geopark actively sent two representatives, An Taimin, the Party Secretary of Zhijindong Cave Administration Bureau, and Guo Huanting from the Geopark Management Department, to participate in this event together with over 50 representatives from 25 Gloabl Geoparks across the country, jointly exploring a new chapter in the protection of geological heritage and green development in Global Geoparks.
During the event, representatives of the park listened attentively to the keynote and special reports given by Professors Zhang Jianping, Jin Xiaochi and other experts, evaluators and management institutions of the Global Geopark and conducted on-site investigations at the Laishizhuang Intangible Cultural Heritage Park, Dagu Folk Village, Daigu Geological Science Popularization School, Daigu Museum and Gushang Grassland in the Yimeng Mountain Global Geopark. Share experiences in the assessment and re-assessment of Global Geoparks with sister parks, and conduct extensive exchanges in areas such as geological heritage protection, cooperation between parks and enterprises, and popular science practices.
