The full-day itinerary was focused on geological landforms and cultural features. From karst peak clusters to intangible heritage crafts, and then to natural canyon wonders, the diverse inspection contents have brought rich and profound gains. Two evaluators not only learn about the geological knowledge of the Qijiehe River Area, appreciated the magical craftsmanship of karst landforms, but also deeply experienced the charm of Miao intangible cultural heritage, and profoundly understand the importance of the symbiotic prosperity between geoheritage and cultural heritage.
The Cai Qun Miao Batik and Embroidery Workshop was the highlight of today's visit. The evaluators got an in-depth look at the complete process of this intangible heritage craft, from preparing fabrics and tools, wax drawing and dyeing to embroidery decoration. They saw how Miao women integrate totem patterns into textiles with their superb skills and commitment to traditional culture, showcasing the unique cultural symbols and aesthetic concepts of the Miao people. Later, they visited Tuoluo Primary School in Guanzhai Township, the geopark's school, and felt how geological science education and ethnic cultural inheritance are organically combined here.
