Zhijindong Cave Global Geopark boasts abundant natural resources and a sound ecological environment. The forest coverage rate of the geopark reaches 47.2%, and that of the core reserve exceeds 85%. There are 27 species of rare and endangered plants, and about 50 species of wild animals inhabit the area. Among them, the protection of birds and their habitats is of vital significance for maintaining ecological balance and promoting the sustainable development of the geopark.
At the end of August, Zhijindong Cave Global Geopark launched a month-long series of "Bird-Loving and Bird-Protecting" themed activities. First, popular science publicity boards were set up in key areas such as ecological tourist trails, turning each board into a "mini classroom" for disseminating bird-related knowledge.

Second, publicity slogans were hung along the main roads of the geopark and in surrounding communities, creating a strong atmosphere for advocating bird protection. Third, publicity posters were put up in the geopark, enabling residents and tourists to learn bird protection knowledge in a direct and convenient way.

In addition to offline publicity, the staff of the geopark went to surrounding communities and villages to publicize the relevant laws and regulations on bird protection as well as practical methods for bird protection in daily life. This series of "Bird-Loving and Bird-Protecting" activities has effectively raised the awareness of bird protection among tourists and residents, laying a solid foundation for the long-term protection of the ecological environment of the geopark.
