2026 Zhijindong Cave Tourism Development Conference Held: The Nearly 100 Million-Yuan "Stone · Light Project" to Launch Soon

On January 29, the 2026 Zhijindong Cave Tourism Development Conference was held in Zhijin. Hosted by Guizhou Zhijindong Cave Tourism Development Co., Ltd., the conference gathered more than 100 travel agencies, OTA platforms, mainstream media outlets, scenic area representatives and cooperative partners from various fields both inside and outside Guizhou Province to jointly explore new strategies for the high-quality development of Zhijindong Cave Global Geopark.

At the conference, Yan Xueyi, Vice Chairman and General Manager of Bijie Culture and Tourism Group, delivered a speech, expressing gratitude to partners from all walks of life who have long trusted and supported the development of Zhijindong Cave, and stating the Group's firm determination to continue supporting the innovative development of the scenic area and deepen mutually beneficial cooperation.

Yuan Yujie, Member of the Standing Committee and Deputy County Magistrate of Zhijin County Party Committee, pointed out in his concluding speech that Zhijindong Cave is the "core engine" and "golden calling card" for the development of Zhijin's cultural and tourism industry. He said that the county Party committee and government will continue to optimize the business environment, deepen the "tourism +" integrated development path, and work hand in hand with all sectors to promote the cultural and tourism brand of "Hometown of Baozhen · Fairy Cave in Zhijin" to a broader stage.

As a national 5A-level tourist attraction and a global geopark, Zhijindong Cave is not only an outstanding representative of Guizhou's karst landforms, but also a shining business card of Guizhou's culture and tourism. Its magnificent and exquisite cave wonders are hailed as the "King of Chinese Caves". In recent years, the scenic area has continued to make efforts in product innovation and experience upgrading, and the number of tourist receptions exceeded 2.4 million for the first time in 2025.

At the conference, Zhijindong Cave Global Geopark made a major preview of the "Stone · Light Project" to be launched in 2026. With an investment of nearly 100 million yuan, the project will empower natural heritage with science and technology, integrate light and shadow art with karst geological wonders, and tell the artistic story of China's world-class treasure in depth. The "Stone · Light Project" will create a year-round light and shadow art feast, launching a number of innovative projects including a large immersive light and shadow show in the cave, a geology-themed photography contest co-hosted with Chinese National Geography, a global AI creative content collection activity, and a digital immersive show built with mixed reality (MR) technology, striving to bring tourists a multi-dimensional and full-sensory new experience of karst caves.

A signing ceremony was also held at the conference, where Zhijindong Cave Global Geopark reached a new round of strategic cooperation with well-known domestic AI and digital content institutions, marketing and communication agencies, and authoritative media units respectively. Meanwhile, awards were presented to outstanding travel agencies, OTA platforms, media units and cooperative partners in 2025. In the resource promotion session, high-quality cultural and tourism resources such as Zhijindong Cave and Jiudong Cave were introduced in special sessions. In the future, a new pattern of all-for-one tourism will be constructed through product integration, route connection and transportation supporting optimization.

After the conference, the participants will conduct an on-site inspection of Zhijindong Cave Global Geopark and carry out an in-depth inspection tour along the route from Jiudong Cave to the Baili Gallery of the Wujiang River Source, laying a solid foundation for subsequent product design and market promotion.

The successful holding of this conference is a summary of the cooperation achievements in the past year and a brand new start for high-quality development in 2026. In the future, Zhijindong Cave Global Geopark will continue to adopt an open and cooperative attitude, deepen the integration of "science and technology + art + tourism", and work hand in hand with all sectors to jointly depict a new development picture of a world-class tourist destination.
