 On the eve of the 57th Earth Day, Earth Day · Encounter in Stone Time — Guizhou Zhijindong Cave · Geoconservation and Global Tourism Brand Conference successfully concluded at the Oriental Pearl City Square in Shanghai on April 21. Designed to showcase Zhijindong Cave UGGp’s ecological commitment and open attitude to the world from an international perspective, the conference launched the "Treasure of the Earth" Silver Rain Tree Karst Ecological and Landscape Value Protection & Enhancement Project, and announced the full launch of its global inbound tourism business, opening a new chapter for geoconservation and integrated cultural tourism development.

Ecology as the Foundation: Launching the Initiative to "Guard Beautiful China"



 Leveraging Shanghai as an international window, Zhijindong Cave UGGp, together with Chinese National Geographic, China Association of National Scenic Areas, Karst Geology Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences and other authoritative domestic geoscientific research institutions, jointly launched the initiative of "Cherishing Natural Resources and Guarding Beautiful China".

 Adhering to the concept of revering nature and scientific conservation, Zhijindong Cave UGGp has joined hands with professional research forces to explore practical pathways for the scientific protection and sustainable utilization of geological resources. It is committed to building a "Zhijindong Cave Model" for global geoheritage conservation, safeguarding hundred-million-year-old geological wonders with concrete actions.

Empowered by Technology: Launch of the "Silver Rain Tree Protection Project"



 As the core segment of the conference, the "Treasure of the Earth" Silver Rain Tree Karst Ecological and Landscape Protection & Enhancement Project was officially inaugurated. The Silver Rain Tree, the iconic landmark of Zhijindong Cave, took 150,000 years to form and boasts exceptional scientific and aesthetic value, acclaimed as the "Treasure of the Earth". Previously, Zhijindong Cave UGGp had insured it for 1.5 billion yuan, demonstrating its utmost dedication to protection.

 At the launching ceremony, supported by authoritative geological experts and research teams, Zhijindong Cave UGGp will adopt scientific conservation measures to fully upgrade karst landscape protection standards and enhance the professionalism of ecological maintenance. At the concurrent expert forum, scholars conducted in-depth discussions on the maintenance and enhancement of karst ecological landscapes. On the topic of "algae cleaning on the Silver Rain Tree surface", the principle of "Science First, Protection First" was unanimously adopted, ensuring the absolute safety of geoheritage through rigorous scientific plans.

Unveiling the Stone · Light Program: An Immersive Geotourism Aesthetic Experience



 The 2026 Zhijindong Cave UGGp Stone · Light Program made its spectacular debut at the event. Using technology as a brush and light and shadow as a medium, the program creates a year-round immersive underground light and shadow feast. Through multi-dimensional, full-sensory experiences, visitors can appreciate the cultural beauty shaped by hundreds of millions of years of geological deposition amid flowing lights and stone silhouettes.

 Meanwhile, the conference presented a comprehensive promotion of Zhijindong Cave UNESCO Global Geopark, vividly displaying its magnificent wonders as an "Underground Art Palace" and profound significance as a "Vast Scientific Treasury", revealing to the world the unique grandeur and delicacy of this supreme karst cave.

Launch of Global Inbound Tourism: Inviting the World to Explore China’s Natural Wonders



 At the conference, Zhijindong Cave UGGp officially kicked off its global inbound tourism business in full swing. The Geopark has completed service upgrades including multilingual guided tours and optimized international payment systems. It has partnered with Ctrip to connect with overseas travel agencies and open up international tourism channels.

 Brti, a Turkish international student, shared his travel experience as an overseas global promotion ambassador, praising Zhijindong Cave as one of the world’s most scientifically and aesthetically valuable karst caves. From the remote mountains of Wumeng Mountains to the banks of the Huangpu River, Zhijindong Cave UGGp, with an open posture, extends an invitation to visitors worldwide to embark on this geological journey spanning hundreds of millions of years.

This conference marks an important milestone for Zhijindong Cave UGGp as it upholds ecological bottom lines and steps onto the world stage. Going forward, Zhijindong Cave UGGp will continue to take scientific conservation as its foundation and open cultural tourism as a carrier, letting the world witness the unique charm of China’s geological wonders!
