At 10 a.m. on May 12, Zhijindong Cave Global Geopark was immersed in a joyous atmosphere. The 2026 public welfare performance themed Our Chinese Dream — Bringing Culture to Thousands of Households was presented here brilliantly.

Renowned artists from Guizhou Qian Opera Troupe came to this mysterious underground wonderland, presenting people-oriented splendid performances to tourists and local villagers, creating a perfect blend of stunning cave scenery and rich cultural vitality.

Breaking away from traditional theatre venues, the show was staged amid picturesque karst landscapes. Solo singing, cross-talk, Qian Opera, Sichuan face-changing, skits and magic shows were presented one after another. With age-old caves as the backdrop, audiences got to experience the distinctive charm of local Guizhou arts up close.

Inspirational solo songs kicked off the event. The cross-talk Beautiful Hometown was witty and lively. Melodious Qian Opera arias fully displayed the charm of intangible cultural heritage. The stunning face-changing act amazed all spectators, down-to-earth skits drew bursts of laughter, and magical performances captivated the crowd. The whole event concluded successfully with the heartwarming chorus China Amid Lights.
